HIGHLAND PARK LITERARY FESTIVAL SCHOLARSHIPS
This scholarship was originally created by HPISD students and parents to honor Fred Damiano in appreciation for the difference he made in the lives of his students. It has now been expanded to honor Jennifer Hampton for her commitment to the HP Literary Festival and dedication to creating an atmosphere in every HP library in which she served that fostered students’ interest in reading, using information, and forming ideas. The successful applicant must have demonstrated his or her commitment to the school through involvement in the HP Literary Festival student committee, the Tartan, the Bagpipe or some other literary event, service to any HPISD or other library, or completed a creative writing, AP Capstone or other research related course. Two scholarships will be awarded.
