Middle School Events

We are excited to announce this year HP LitFest will be hosting a book club for 5th & 6th grade students in partnership with the University Park Public Library. Zoe Williams, the UP Public Library’s Youth Services Librarian, will host an afterschool event at the UP Public Library.

Our keynote speaker Blake Crouch was very inspired by the Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis. This year we are going to read and discuss The Magician’s Nephew, written as the prequel to the series. The reading schedule will be January 20th – February 9th. Everyone will read one chapter each school night. The discussion will be led by Zoe Williams, UP Public Library’s Youth Services Librarian, on February 11th.

Please register here. Everyone who registers will receive a free copy of the book. Books will be available for pick up at the library starting January 13th.
